Publisher Responsibility

 

The responsiblity of any form of media is to report the whole truth without impartiality.  Media exercises the right to freedom of speech.  Media documents the occurrences of history.

When reporting on a story the following questions must be asked and answered, "Who is involved, What happened/consequences, When did it occur/prior notice, Where did it happen, Why did it happen, How is it the action came about".

Each one of those principles will vary to arrive at the truth.  Although media is known for publicity, which is tailoring public view.  Its true nature was to make sure the nation could read what was happening in another part of the city or world.

It was like a letter home.  Be not afraid to ask the right questions to arrive at the truth , hear the truth or open the doors to the truth.

The truth should never be dependent on lobbying, influence or emotions.  The truth stands up fine on its own.

The other responsibility of the paper is to make advertising for local shops owned by the residents affordable.  Make the cost of each paper affordable for the residents to purchase your newspaper and media.

 

 

Reader Responsibility

 

The responsibility of the reader is to read for understanding.  Do not just accept whatever is put on your perverbial newspaper plate.  Insist the media report the news without bias.  The news is not an editorial column or opinion piece.  Require the reporters to cover local government meetings, city and town council and alderman meetings and not just big ticket events.  Buy the newspapers instead of taking two or three when you only paid for one paper.  Share the online link rather than copy the story and put it on your blog giving no credit to the author of the story.  If the reader does not support the local newspapers when they will fold and global publicity will be the local news.  It will be like before the time of Jefferson where the news was heard whenever the King gave an edict.  The sustaining and progression of our freedom and equality for all requires faithful and diligent work.  Put your money in the community newspapers and media.
