The holidays are upon yet again. I am convinced the holidays are created to remind us being alone is limited in its pleasures. It begins on New Year's Eve and ends on Christmas day. The independence of free will approaches the most famous of the Americas. The fourth of July, 2019 is the celebration of the victorious battle won for freedom of prosperity, pursuit of happiness and the liberty of worship. This year like every year before will come with bar-b-ques, music, family, friends, loved ones, boyfriends, girlfriends, fiances young and old. People laughing, giggling, crying, fighting and making up. Babies will be born, people will transition to heaven to be introduced to the Father by Jesus face to face. In all your fun take heed to let the sober person drive. Make plans ahead of time to take a cab, rent a hotel or sleep at the family home, just don't drive drunk or impaired.

Now some of you are wondering what the freak can I do cause my family is in another state and I got to work the next day. Two words, "road trip". Tell the family and friends you are dropping by for 24 hours cause there is no way you are going to be alone on Independence day. Others just do not have the cash to do anything. So, to you I say, make the best in- home bar-b-que you can make so you do not feel left out as the smell of juicy burning meat wafts through the air. Next, take a walk around your neighborhood. Often communities have parades, festivals and free events happening for the holidays. If you live in a hot box like Arizona and Texas, then you may have to wait til the sun goes down so you are not the bar-b-que.

I know you want someone to share the festivities with this year like you did last year. But, fret not, instead take a few minutes to write down your best qualities, then write down what you are seeking and asking God for in a mate. Remember, you are not ugly. You are not stupid. You are not worthless. Jesus counts you as valuable and loves you as you are right now. So, whether its men pretending to love you or a woman playing games with your heart and loyalty, give it all to Jesus. Let your focus be in what you can see. Let your hope rest in Jesus. Give no one your spiritual heart any longer. That belongs to Jesus. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, psalm 147:3. Hurt no longer. Even if a pastor accesses your heart again let your standards rise. It is not prideful to desire to be respected. You show the same diligence with a pastor as you would a news anchor. No one gets what belongs to Jesus any longer. You are worth loving, courting and marrying. If a man can not see you as a good thing then, thank God. Believe what they show you. This is who they are and it is not a joke. If a man cares he will manifest himself before your eyes in the flesh. Your heart belongs to Jesus.
